PROSTHESIS
When the prosthesis replaces a limb or a part of it, the animal finds a more adequate and
normal locomotion thus increasing its autonomy and comfort. In addition, the prosthesis reduces
the strain on other healthy limbs, reduces compensations and promote a certain realignment of
the body, thus helping to avoid injuries to the shoulders, wrists, knees, ankles, back, etc., in the
medium and long term. The use of a prosthesis by the animal can also reduce its energy
expense and muscular fatigue during gait and his activities.
FOR A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE FOR YOUR PET, THE PROSTHESIS:
- Increases the animal’s autonomy and comfort
- Protects the amputated limb
- Helps regain muscle mass
- Allows your pet to regain a more adequate and normal locomotion
- Decreases the development of arthrosis (wear and tear) of a joint
- Reduces compensations and thus inappropriate postures
- Promotes a certain realignment of the body
- Can reduce the use of anti-inflammatory drugs and therefore their side effects
- Less strain on other healthy limbs
- Prevents injuries to shoulders, wrists, knees, ankles, back, etc. in the medium and long term
- Reduces energy expenditure and muscular fatigue during activities
- Etc.
RECOMMENDED IN THE FOLLOWING CASES:
- Following a congenital anomaly or malformation (deformed and/or shorter limb)
- Amputation following an accident
- Amputation due to a disease (cancer, etc)
- Amputation due to a degenerative disease
- Bone and/or joint deformities
- Etc
